![]() ![]() This is supposed to be because they can’t play with others to elevate drop odds and they can’t trade. So more loot dropping is more dice rolls so more high runes. It works by increasing the chances a mob drops loot and the amount of loot they drop. When you can always farm on an elevated player count with no competition for loot, you’ll get way more drops. ![]() If you can kill twice as fast and move on, that may be the difference between a high rune, and no high rune. You are not hunting uniques, ditch the MF and put on BiS gear. ![]() I don't think you and I play the same way, so it is not pure luck I found a handfull, and pure bad luck on your behalf. They do drop in sanctuary, but are picked up before you notice. My take is if you run solo, directly to boss, or only do multiplay in parties like baal and Diablo runs, you will prolly not see any high runes drop. I hit Flayer Jungle with my Whirl Barb in crowded games, and clear the map if I got time, also do Flayer Dungeon if it is not full of ghosts. Anything that dies fast in a +5 player game is good. I can also run around in 5-8 player games in Black Marsh and Tamoe Highland shooting specials. I leave game if it goes below 3, but prefer of course +5. Tombs are fun if you are build for them, many rooms packed with monsters and good fights with potential loot. I join 5-8 player games and shoot ghosts in Arcane Sanctuary, and do tombs also. On the other hand, I am pretty slow getting to Countess and Summoner, because I shoot every ghost, and take down every easy special on the way. ![]()
